Warm sunshine and heavy showers on Friday and the weekend.
Scattered showers to begin with this evening, some of these heavy and thundery at first, but southern coastal areas remaining largely dry. Becoming dry overnight with clear spells though patchy fog and low cloud forming. Chilly in the countryside. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Any overnight fog and low cloud clearing quickly. Thereafter a bright day with light winds and sunny periods. A few heavy showers are possible by the afternoon. Feeling warm. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
A continuing chance of heavy showers in places over the weekend, especially in the west. Plenty of warm sunshine as well though with any showers restricted to Cornwall by Monday.
